What is a language certification?

A language certification is an official document issued by an authorized organization that states a student has achieved a level of language knowledge in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

The table below shows, for each language, language certificates accepted by the University of Modena and Emilia and their equivalence according to the CEFR. Each degree program will grant credits or partial credits according to the terms of the respective faculty.

What are the advantages of being awarded a language certification?

A language certification may enable students to receive possible credits during their university career and is useful for their professional future; it is also a bonus if they wish to take a Masters degree or seek employment in an overseas company. These language certifications are recognized internationally and are a plus-point for job-seekers.
